Last month we had the opportunity to work with a client in Concord NC, and this is what we did:
Removed and dispose of 1 layer(s) of old roofing materials
Replace any rotted decking if found. We offered 2 new plywood, but we did not need it, due to good plywood.
Installed standard Ice and water in the valleys, and around all of the pipes (warranty requirements for Owens Corning)
Installed new boots on all pipes coming out of the roof
Installed new felt paper underlayment on the whole roof
Installed Owens Corning starters (warranty requirements)
Installed new Owens Corning shingles
Installed Owens Corning vinyl ridge vent on top of the ridge for maximum air flow with matching caps
To get full manufacturers warranty roofing system must be installed according to OC
guidelines – and we had a foreman on hand to ensure that all procedures were met.
Lastly, we added a 10-year workmanship warranty by Charlotte Pro Roofing.
